Robert Hernandez

Robert Hernandez is the Director of Development for The Seattle Times’ site seattletimes.com. He’s been at the family-owned publication since November of 2002.
His journalism career includes working for the Hearst-owned San Francisco Examiner/eXaminer.com, San Francisco Chronicle/SFGate.com and El Salvador’s La Prensa Gráfica, among others.

He has been involved with the National Association of Hispanic Journalists since 1996 and was elected onto the board in 2008. He was the co-coordinated of the online student project for six years, has been the conference’s New Media track coordinator twice (Ft. Lauderdale and Puerto Rico) and co-program chair once (San Jose).

He is a lifetime member and hopes you are too.

He lives in Seattle with his wife Connie (a photojournalist turned special-education teacher), their young son Nico, their Boston Terrier Coby and their 1960 Volvo 122.
