Erwin is the Education Program Manager at the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. His day to day tasks are always different. He primarily assists with membership, NAHJ’s job bank, the scholarship program, Student Projects and Student Campus. He recently took on the monumental project of tracking down NAHJ alumni (past scholarship recipients, Student Project and Student Campus participants) to aid in NAHJ’s goal of starting an alumni association. He also assisted with the new NAHJ website and created the Facebook Alumni Fan page.
Prior to NAHJ, Erwin worked for Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, an investment banking firm. While there he managed stocks, bonds, CD and 401k’s in the New York Stock Exchange.
Born and raised in D.C. and proud to be a Washingtonian. Erwin graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor’s degree in Economics.
He played soccer for the University where his team won an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship as well as a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship. He was also part of the U-17 National Team and travelled to many countries including: Spain, Germany, Italy, Holland, England and Portugal.
