What you will find in the Career Expo:

  • Technology Demo Corner – The journalism industry is embracing new technology, developing new distribution models and working to satisfy a new readership base.  At our Technology Corner, come check out the latest tech gadgets, newsroom and design software, and services that will help you become a versatile, more tech-saavy journalist.
  • Financial Services Corner – During these trying economic times, financial concerns are at the forefront of everyone’s mind.  Whether you are a freelance journalist/photographer, considering starting your own digital media firm, or wondering how to invest properly, stop by and speak with financial services professionals to get sound advice. For aspiring entrepreneurs, SCORE “Counselors for America’s Small Business” will offer advice in individual counseling sessions during the Expo. For the business development counselors to get a sense of what areas will have the most interest and what questions you would like answered, please complete this short form. These forms will help us determine the demand for counseling and tailor the appropriate resources for the right topics.
  • Career Advice Corner – The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) will be available to offer critiques of radio and television reels.  Spaces are limited, so sign up early at the Expo to reserve your time.
  • Resume Database Center – Looking for a job? Search our online Career Center, with hundreds of job postings, upload and print your resume, and apply onsite!
  • Cyber Cafe – Need to check your email? Need to research a company before speaking to their recruiter? NAHJ is providing complimentary internet access to our attendees at the Cyber Cafe.
