My name is Angela Clemmons. I am the Sports Copy Chief at The Denver Post. 

I am from Billings, Montana, a Westerner in heart and mind. I was brought up in a half-Mexican family, and recognize that my experience walking the line between two cultures is more and more common. My double windows to the world have helped me immeasurably as a journalist and especially as an editor, and they’ve made me passionate about NAHJ. (I am a lifetime member.)

I attended college in Montana and North Carolina, where I graduated (N.C. State ’93).
I have been a journalist for 20 years, working in Sports, News, and Arts and Entertainment, as a copy editor, reporter, columnist and editor. I am in a management role now at The Post.

My first job was at the Bozeman (Mont.) Daily Chronicle. I have also worked at the News & Observer in Raleigh, N.C.; The Associated Press (N.Y.) and The New York Daily News. I spent 8 years in New York City (1996-2004), where I become involved with NAHJ, going from a volunteer coordinator and newsletter writer to Region 2 director.
