A member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists since 2004, Miguel A. Rosa Alejandro is currently a photojournalist at WIPR-TV Channel 6 in Puerto Rico. His photojournalism career started in 1990 at the 24-hour news channel WSJN-TV based in Puerto Rico. During the past 20 years, Miguel led the Puerto Rico Photojournalists Association from 2005 to 2008. His photography work has been recognized with numerous awards, such as:

First Place – Investigative Report, Puerto Rico Overseas Press Club Awards, “Encapuchados en Vieques” (2002)

First Place – Best Sports Photographer, Puerto Rico Photojournalists Association (2002)

Second Place – Spot News, Puerto Rico Photojournalists Association (2000)

Miguel is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Contemporary and Media Culture at the University of Sagrado Corazon in San Juan, Puerto Rico and has a Bachelor’s Degree from the American University in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

A native of Caguas, Miguel enjoys sports, especially soccer and is a die-hard fan of the Puerto Rico Islanders.
