“In 1991, I was the recipient of the Rubén Salazar scholarship. It was my first scholarship, and I remember the feeling of elation when I opened the letter saying that I had won. I felt proud, honored and humbled to know that my passion for journalism would earn me scholarship dollars to pursue the career of my dreams. This scholarship helped me pave the way towards my future, and I am forever grateful and honored.”
Graduated: California State University, Fullerton (1998)
