The programming at the 28th Annual NAHJ Multimedia Convention & Career Expo is going to make Denver the place to be that week.
This year’s convention nestled among the majestic mountains around Denver will not only focus on the U.S. Census and other hot topics in this political year, but will also feature skills training and the in-depth discussions today’s journalists need to develop their careers and keep doing journalism in the many ways in which we all get our news. ÂÂ
Once again, we’re turning lots of space in the Colorado Convention Center into classrooms with high-potency WiFi to make it a true hands-on training experience. Back by popular demand, the CyberLabs@NAHJ features two rooms of constant online skills training in English and Spanish on everything from podcasting and live webcasting to audio storytelling and blogging.
New and veteran freelancers, and those striking out on their own as part of the growing group of entrepreneurial journalists will get the in-depth training they need in two- and three-part day-long workshops. Sessions like narrative storytelling and building a winning digital portfolio will round out discussions on 3D design and sound personal finances in these challenging times.
