| The National Association of Hispanic Journalists continues its tradition of assisting the "next generation" of Latino storytellers through its Rubén Salazar Scholarship Fund and Educational Programs. NAHJ will hold its 16th Annual Scholarship Banquet at the Plaza Hotel in New York City on Thursday, February 17, 2005. We would be honored to have your company as a sponsor of this prestigious event.
I am pleased to announce that NAHJ's founding member and Univision Anchor, María Elena Salinas will be the Mistress of Ceremonies. Also, Anna Carbonell, VP of Station Relations at NBC 4/Telemundo 47 is chairing the host committee.
Though there are several programs that exist to help Latino students pursuing higher education, NAHJ is the only national organization dedicated to training Latino journalism students. Since inception, NAHJ has awarded close to $1 million in scholarships and has spent over $2 million in training programs.
NAHJ, a 501 (C) (3) tax exempt organization, was established in 1984 as a national voice and unified vision for all Hispanics in the news industry. Please help us by supporting this special black-tie fund-raising event.
Please contact NAHJ's Educational Programs Manager, Ms. Nancy Tita at (202) 662-7151 or e-mail her at ntita@nahj.org for any further questions.
We look forward to seeing you on February 17, 2005.
Sincerely,
|
