Jonathan Ruíz, news producer for MSNBC in Seacacus, N.J., is named news director of KSTS-TV48 in San José.
The 12-year TV news veteran started his career at Telemundo's KVEA, in Los Angeles.
The Telemundo Network Group also appointed Manuel Abud president of Telemundo Cable.
WHITE NEWS:
Don Heider, an assistant journalism professor at the University of Texas at Austin, has authored a new book entitled White News.
The book examines the exclusion of people of color from the local news programs.
