Photojournalist, Full-Time The Tribune

Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers are looking to fill a newly created full-time staff position to enhance and expand our photography department based at the Tribune in Fort Pierce. Our visually-driven newspapers need a journalist who's a self-starter and idea generator to join our ten-person staff Treasure Coast wide. We need a team-player who can effectively communicate within our department and throughout our newsrooms. Strong shooting skills providing compelling content-driven images of news, sports, features, enterprise, essays and in-depth stories are a must. Shift may include nights and weekends as well travel Treasure Coast wide to cover requests. We supply our staff with Nikon digital equipment and individual laptops. Sports Section Page Designer, Full-Time The Stuart News

Looking for an energetic, sports-minded person to be part of a seven-person sports pagination desk for Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers. Ideal candidate would be a strong designer, be deadline-oriented, have good editing skills, be able to write compelling headlines and update pages for up to four separate editions. Franchise issues for the department include, but are not limited to, golf, football, fishing/boating and spring training baseball -- Dodgers, Mets, Marlins and Cardinals train in the coverage area. Would work out of Stuart (FL) main office for publications in Stuart, Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce and Vero Beach. Stuart is a growing seaside community that is located in east central Florida, approximately 50 north of West Palm Beach. All newspapers are currently going through a redesign, under the direction of Bill Ostendorf, that will be completed in August of 2004.
