    Parity Project Launches at Three West Texas Newspapers
    The National Association of Hispanic Journalists successfully launched the Parity Project at three Scripps newspapers in West Texas. NAHJ unveiled the project with the San Angelo Standard- Times on Dec. 15, the Abilene Reporter-News Dec. 16 and the Wichita Falls Times Record News Dec. 17.

    Parity Project Launches in Naples, Fla.
    The NAHJ and the Naples Daily News successfully launched the Parity Project in Collier County, Fla. on Sept. 30, 2003. More than 40 Latino community leaders attended a town hall meeting, hosted by the editor and the publisher of the Daily News and the NAHJ, to discuss the paper's coverage of the Latino community.

    The National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the E.W. Scripps Company announced today a new joint effort to improve news coverage of Latinos and to dramatically increase the number of qualifiewd Latino journlaists employed at selected Scripps' newspapers around the country.
