Come help win a newspaper war in paradise. Smart, thorough journalists wanted for an ambitious 90,000-circulation daily with an expanding Web presence based in the highly competitive Northern San Diego County area.

North County is home to more than 1.1 million people, with our print and online readership estimated at 250,000 and growing. Our local news is often national and international news. We cover it all, from school board meetings to North County-based Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan, and we win high praise for all aspects of our coverage. We break the news on nctimes.com site first, revise throughout the day, and publish our best of the Web the following day. Our video reporting is broad, deep and growing rapidly.

The Times is looking for journalists who have energy, enthusiasm, ability to dig for the news and two years of daily newspaper experience. We offer a variety of beats including general assignment, law enforcement, city hall and education as well as topic-specific positions. We also offer ample opportunities for advancement within the organization. The Times does not pay for travel or relocation expenses. Please attach your resume and three news clips.
