El Sentinel Internship Posted May 20, 2008
El Sentinel, the Spanish-language weekly newspaper published by the Orlando Sentinel, will offer a 10-week reporting internship during the fall of 2008.

In this unique internship, a promising journalism student will write a variety of news and feature stories for El Sentinel, which reports on Central Florida’s rapidly growing Hispanic community and has a circulation of 80,000.

Applicants must be fluent in both spoken and written Spanish and have a valid driver’s license and the use of a car. Applicants with at least one previous print reporting internship are strongly preferred. The internship pays $525 per week. Housing is not provided.

To apply, please submit a cover letter, resume, references and at least five stories published in Spanish.
Applications must be received by July 31, 2008.

The Orlando Sentinel is owned by the Tribune Company and is a partner in NAHJ's Parity Project, which was launched in our newsroom in May 2006.
