NAHJ Announce Finalists for 2001 Professional Journalism Contest
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Association of Hispanic Journalists is proud to announce the finalists for its annual Professional Journalism Contest. The winners will be announced at the Noche de Triunfos Awards Gala during the NAHJ 19th Annual Convention in Phoenix June 20-23.
The awards gala will take place in the Regency Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix on Friday, June 22, 2001 at 7 p.m. The gala is a black tie event. The gala is sponsored by Univision, The Coca-Cola Company and General Motors.
The winner of the Guillermo Martinez-Márquez Award for the top overall entry will also be announced at the gala. The Martinez-Marquez Award winner will receive a $1000 grand prize.
Univision anchor María Elena Salinas will serve as the emcee of the gala.
