Eagle Tribune Wins Martinez-Marquez Award at Noche de Triunfos Gala

San Diego -- The Eagle Tribune in North Andover, Mass., won the Guillermo Martinez-Marquez award at the National Association of Hispanic Journalists Noche de Triunfos Gala held June 15 at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego.

The Eagle Tribune won for "Building Bridges," a project that examined the community’s racial and ethnic attitudes as the population of the city changed from majority white to majority Latino.

The gala was held during the NAHJ convention in San Diego, June 12-15. The Martinez-Marquez award is given to the top overall entry in the association’s annual Professional Journalism Contest.
