The National Association of Hispanic Journalists is seeking applicants for the position of executive director to work with its 17-member board of directors and to provide day-to-day leadership of its expanding programs.
NAHJ based in Washington, D.C. is dedicated to the recognition and professional advancement of Hispanics in the news industry.
The executive Director will oversee all operations of the organization. Responsibilities include supervising a 6-person staff, administering finances, coordinating professional development programs for the membership, running the associations annual convention, and fundraising.
NAHJ seeks applicants who have good organizational skills and who are knowledgeable about the media industry and the Hispanic community. The position requires a person who is detail- and people-oriented and with exceptional communication skills. Bilingual skills are a plus. The position requires extensive travel.
