Rocky Mountain News Seeks to Meet with NAHJ Members at New York Convention

A Message to NAHJ Members from John Temple, publisher of The Rocky Mountain News

Greetings:

Many of you may have heard about the innovative relationship between the Rocky Mountain News and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

As part of NAHJ's Parity Project, we'll be working together in many ways - including an intensive effort to acquaint Latino journalists across the nation with ongoing employment opportunities at the Rocky Mountain News and the advantages of living and working in Denver.

I would like NAHJ's members to know that I am committed to building up the newspaper's active pool of good Latino candidates for current and future opportunities.

To that end, I will attend the NAHJ convention in New York June 26-28 and look forward to meeting as many talented journalists as possible during that time.

In particular, I am interested in meeting newspaper professionals with at least two years of daily experience.

Our current employment opportunities are posted at: http://denver.rockymountainnews.com/aboutus/rmn.shtml.

You can learn more about the News and the benefits of working here on our web site at <http://denver.rockymountainnews.com/aboutus/>

If you would like a private meeting with me during the NAHJ convention in New York City, please contact my assistant, Michelle Quintana, at 303 892-5102 as soon as possible to schedule a time.

Thank you.
