Rolando Arrieta is NAHJ’s Vice President of Broadcast and a lifetime member. He is NPR’s News Production & Operations Manager and adjunct professor at Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studied. As the lead coordinator of all the minority journalism conferences, Rolando was part of the group which developed and launched the Think.Public.Media initiative at last year’s NABJ/NAHJ joint conference, an recruiting initiative to attract more people of color to work in public broadcasting. Most recently, he led the collaborative team that launched NPR’s first Spanish language podcast, Radio Ambulante and has also participated in a vast array of conference training and workshops for more than a decade.
