This year's convention will capitalize on its locale being in Silicon Valley, the hub of technology, and California having one of the largest and most diverse Latino communities in the country with strong roots to Mexican heritage. We explore issues that affect the Latino community at large, free press issues and the changing landscape of the media among other hot button topics.

Newsmaker Luncheon
Location: San Jose McEnery Convention Center

Prominent panelists gather over lunch to discuss a hot topic related to diversity in the news media and/or other industry issues. In 2006, the luncheon brought together New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, former Mexican Foreign Minister Jorge Castañeda and Lou Dobbs of CNN’s "Lou Dobbs Tonight" to discuss immigration.
