2011 Convention Sponsorship Options  

Join the National Association of Hispanic Journalists as more than 1,000 journalists and media executives convene June 15-18, 2011 in Orlando, Florida for the 29th Annual NAHJ Multimedia Convention & Career Expo. Below are the Sponsorship, Exhibit and Advertising Options that are available.    

The NAHJ convention has earned a reputation as one of the country’s premier journalism conventions. It serves as a training ground for the largest gathering of Latino journalists, with more than 1,000 Latino journalism professionals in attendance. NAHJ is offering its corporate partners a myriad of educational, networking and marketing opportunities to reach an influential audience. NAHJ will acknowledge your organization through valuable recognition packages including the Convention Program Book and pre-convention marketing materials.

2011 Convention Career Expo Options

The Career Expo provides media and non-media corporations and organizations as well as nonprofits and government agencies the opportunity to interact with and recruit many of the nation’s most influential Hispanic journalists.

DATES: Thursday, June 16 and Friday, June 17
LOCATION: Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Convention Center – Veracruz Exhibit Hall
EXPO HOURS: 9 AM – 5 PM    

RECRUITER/EXHIBITOR BOOTH FEES:    

Tech Demo: $3,000 (includes 20 x 20 booth space, inclusion in Tech Demo area and 30 minute segment in programming)    

Financial Corner: $2,000 (includes 20 x 20 booth space and inclusion in Financial Corner area)    

Corporate Non-Media: $1,500    

Corporate Media: $1,250     

Non-Profit/Government: $800    

*Important info regarding additional registrations for the Career Expo: Please note that all convention attendees must be registered. This includes those staffers or vendors who will only be staffing your booth. If you have additional staffers for your booth (beyond those using the complimentary registrations) then you must pay the additional registration fee in order for them to access the Expo Hall.    

CAREER EXPO FEATURES:     

• Lounge – Attendees take a break from sessions and from working the expo hall to relax and network in a cozy environment.    

• Cyber Café – Free internet access will be available at computer stations in this area. Attendees can check email and surf the web.    

• Career Fast Track – Career advice and broadcast/print critiques in one-on-one sessions from seasoned journalists will enable attendees to polish their credentials.    

• NAHJ Photo Exhibit – Some of the best work by Latino and Orlando-based photojournalists, including some of the award-winning entries in the NAHJ Journalism Awards, will be on display for convention attendees.    

• Refreshment Station – Convention attendees receive complimentary beverages and other treats during visits to the expo hall.    

• Tech Demo & Financial Corners – NAHJ will dedicate space and programming time to help our members learn more about the latest tech gadgets and get sound financial advice as they become multimedia, backpack and/or entrepreneurial journalists. Companies interested in showcasing their products in the Tech Demo or answering financial questions in the Financial Corner are encouraged to apply early as space and time will be limited.    

BOOTH PACKAGE:    

Unless otherwise noted, the exhibit package includes an 8’ x 10’ booth with the following:    

• One complimentary convention registration (per booth)    

• 8’ high back drape    

• 3’ high side drape    

• 10’ x 10’ booth carpet    

• 7″ x 44″ exhibitor ID sign    

• one 6’ x 24’ table draped    

• one wastebasket    

• two side chairs    


2011 Convention Advertising Options

Advertising in NAHJ’s convention publications is one of the most effective ways to reach more than 1,000 journalists and media professionals attending the NAHJ Convention. The convention publications serve as vital resources for attendees to keep up with convention activities as well as news coverage of daily events. Ad space is available in the Convention Program Book and The Latino Reporter/El Reportero Latino (student newspaper).
